Mae Shen is the founding Head and former Managing Director of the Ray Dalio Family Office (Singapore). As the MAS representative and Investment Committee member, she oversaw investments and the build-out of investment operations. Beyond investments, she played a key role in strengthening and expanding the Dalio family’s presence in Singapore and Asia through the operationalisation of the Dalio family office, as well as their real estate initiatives and philanthropic strategy.
When Mae Shen was headhunted to join the Dalio Family Office, she was in the process of establishing and serving a Middle Eastern family as a member of their Family Advisory Board and Investment Committee. Prior to that, she was based in Hong Kong, where she led Credit Suisse’ expansion of Family Office Services (family & investment governance, structuring) in Greater China; she was also responsible for broader Wealth Planning Services (Impact Investments, Philanthropy Advisory, Private Label Funds).
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, she was the Chief Investment Officer of an Asian-American family office (Singapore, California, Philippines) responsible for a global multi-asset, tax-aware strategy across public and private markets, real estate and impact investing.
Mae Shen first worked with family offices in New York in 1998. She brings a distinctive perspective to asset management, particularly in navigating complex cross-border wealth structures and integrating investment objectives with long-term impact and values-driven considerations. Earlier in her career, Mae Shen spent over a decade at J.P. Morgan in New York and Singapore, serving as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and later as a Global Investments Specialist, building deep expertise in institutional portfolio construction and capital markets.
She holds the CFA charter and the CAIA designation.
